Palin Steps Down

Sarah Palin is going to step down from her position as Governor in Alaska. She made the statement at her home in the back yard with her family present. This decision came after the governor has been the target of 15 ethics complaints by her political opponents. All of these have been dismissed; but have cost Alaska tax payers $2 million dollars and Palin personally paid $500,000.

When asked about the accusations made against her she said: " the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn't cost them a dime, so they're not going to stop draining public resources – spending other people's money in their game; she continued, “It's pretty insane – my staff and I spend most of our day dealing with this instead of progressing our state now." Palin hopes by resigning she can help better serve Alaska. Republican Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will take the oath of office July 26.
